When his employer finds a new professional calling in the area of child prostitution, hitman Johnny turns his back on him. But he has one last job to do: to cut of the pinkie of a trumpet player’s right hand, yet on the evening of the job the musician happens to be playing at an elite party of a countess who’s vampire brother is to marry a little girl. And so Johnny knows what he has to do. Bruce McDonalds’ breathtakingly shot, somnambulistic neo horror noir Dreamland is one of the most intoxicating cinema experiences you will have this year, dazzlingly cast with Stephen McHattie in a double role, Juliette Lewis and Henry Rollins. Exquisite!
